Firestoke and RageCure Games have announced Goons: Legends & Mayhem, an Ice Hockey based cartoon brawler which will bring with it fun multiplayer matches as well as outrageous special abilities all with the aim of getting the puck into the back of the net.
The game will support 1-6 players in a 3 v 3 Ice Hockey scenario, it will also include both PvE and PvP modes. Players will be able to choose from one of eight characters which are divided into three different classes – the attack-focused sharpshooter, the defensive enforcer and the wingman who can either choose to support their team or cause all sorts of issues for the opposing team. Each character comes with their own special ability, including explosive mines, the ability to freeze opponents and even a transportation ability. As an extra added layer of depth, the game also features six different environments each with its own special mechanics and environmental hazards.
There will also be a story campaign in the game, where players need to stop the Great Mascoteer from ruining Ice Hockey for everyone. The campaign will take players across a range of Ice Rinks in forests, floating Ice Rinks and even on a pirate ship where there will be bosses to defeat characters to upgrade and cosmetic items to unlock.
Goons: Legends & Mayhem is set to launch in 2023 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S as well as PC, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
