Get your board ready: developer Goon Squad and publisher Headup have officially locked in a release date for their high-speed arcade skateboarding title, Skatesterre. Dropping on August 13, 2026, the game will launch on Xbox Series X|S.
The announcement kicked off as part of today’s Games Composed In Germany event on Steam, accompanied by a brand-new trailer showcasing high-octane gameplay and a taste of the game’s energy.
Channeling the Golden Era of Skate Culture
Skatesterre places players in the shoes of Dutch skateboarder Sterre Meijer (famously known as “Surfsterre”) as she carves, grinds, and flips through massive urban environments. Heavily inspired by classic late-90s and early-2000s arcade skaters, the game prioritizes fast flow, creative trick combos, and chasing high scores across score-focused, line-heavy levels.
