Turn 10 announced today at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase that Forza Horizon and Hot Wheels are reuniting with the Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels addition. This new update, which will be released on July 19 for Xbox consoles, Windows and Steam PCs, and Cloud Gaming (Beta), brings players to the aesthetically gorgeous, exhilarating new Horizon Hot Wheels Park in the clouds high above Mexico.

Horizon Hot Wheels Park

The new Horizon Hot Wheels Park has some of the fastest, most extreme tracks ever seen in a Horizon game, including a winding, looping famous orange track that stretches over 200 kilometres (about 125 miles for our non-metric friends). Discover a vast Hot Wheels open world filled with novel driving adventures like gravity-defying magnet tracks, ice, water flume, and rumble tracks.

The rugged Giant’s Canyon, the Ice Cauldron, where frozen tundra drips into the glistening molten lava, Forest Falls, which takes you high above the tree canopy and over epic waterfalls, and the visually stunning Horizon Nexus, where the Horizon Festival is suspended among a web of Hot Wheels tracks, are all new biomes added by Turn 10.

Become a legend in the Hot Wheels universe

In a new five-part Horizon Story, players may accomplish quests to unlock spectacular Hot Wheels Heats events and commemorate the history of Hot Wheels. Look for new Accolades, Bonus Boards, Floating Piata collectibles, PR Stunts, and new Hot Wheels Seasonal Events along your path to becoming a Hot Wheels Legend, all of which contribute to your overall Festival Playlist completion.

In a first for Forza, you can team up with pals and play the full expansion in co-op from the beginning. Horizon Open allows you to compete against the rest of the globe, while Horizon Tour allows you to team up and race a group of Drivatars. At the Horizon Hot Wheels Park, free Fast Travel is also available for all players, allowing you to easily reach your pals no matter where they are on the world.

Imagine it, create it, and share it.

The team is also looking forward to seeing what players come up with in EventLab, where you’ll be able to design, build, and share your creations with the new Hot Wheels Creation Kit.

Thanks to major upgrades to the EventLab toolset, Turn 10 has included over 80 new track and stunt elements that snap together immediately. When using the Blueprint Builder, new props contained in the Hot Wheels Creation Kit can be readily joined to each other with a button push.

Those Cars, on the other hand…

Without fresh cars, Turn 10 couldn’t provide you a new Hot Wheels experience. The team is ecstatic to add ten spectacular new automobiles to the Forza Horizon 5 fleet, including four new Hot Wheels scaled up to life size.
