Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have released, last Tuesday, the Aftermath expansion for Mortal Kombat 11. The add-on is available for $39.99 or new players can grab the Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath + Kombat Pack Bundle for $49.99. There’s also a complete bundle dubbed Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection for $59,99 which compiles all the previously released content along with the Aftermath content.

The newest expansion rovides an all-new, cinematic story campaign that expands the Mortal Kombat 11 storyline with a time-bending narrative in which players take on the role of various fighters to continue the epic saga as Fire God Liu Kang, the new keeper of time and protector of Earthrealm, must now enlist the help of unlikely allies.

Along with story content, Aftermath adds three new characters: Fujin, Sheeva and Robocop (for whatever reason). The latter also features the voice and likeness of actor Peter Weller, who portrayed the popular character in the first two Robocop movies. Along with the new fighters, the add-on brings three new character skin packs to be released over time and the “Thanks a Million” Johnny Cage character skin which is available now.

Along with the Aftermath expansion, NetherRealm unleashed a free update for all MK11 players which brings the new Dead Pool, Soul Chamber, RetroKade and Kronika’s Keep Stages along with Stage Fatalities and the popular ‘90’s Friendships feature.
