Paradox Interactive and Triumph Studios have unleashed Invasions, a new add-on for strategy game Age of Wonders: Planetfall. The expansion is now available for $19.99 / £15.49 / €19.99 or is free to the Season pass owners.
The Invasions DLC brings a new playable faction, expanded worlds, unique and creative challenges, and alternate playstyles. The new faction, the Shakarn, a race of vicious lizardmen, is ready to blaze through every obstacles in their path to obtain universal domination. The add-on also introduces another mysterious faction known as the Therians; a faction of anthropomorphic NPCs who combined their DNA with that of animals to catalyze their evolution
Additionally, Invasions adds two new campaign maps and Conquered Worlds, a juggernaut-style game mode where players team up to challenge a single player with a vast empire. Invasions also introduces a host of environmental catastrophes to the game, from pirate invasions to superstorms to solar flares.
Finally, players will go head-to-head with enigmatic Voidbringers as they use trans-dimensional warfare to rain down legions of enthralled soldiers across their empires.
