What can you expect from the hardcore cyberpunk world of Ghostrunner? In the 22nd century a cosmic burst of gamma rays wiped out most of life on planet Earth. Those who survived were residents of a mega-building called Dharma Tower, the former headquarters of a large technological corporation that anticipated the coming destruction of global civilization. Dharma Tower is a huge, self-sufficient shelter providing homes for tens of thousands of the last humans left on Earth.
As social unrest and crime rates increased among the overcrowded levels of Dharma Tower artificially grown humans with heavy augmentations, known as Ghostrunners, were created to obey orders, keep peace among the people, and protect the leaders of the last city. Ghostrunners kept peace for years, but in the shadows a mysterious figure known as the Keymaster plotted a coup to take over Dharma Tower and eliminate all the Ghostrunners. Thanks to a clever deception the Keymaster was able to take over Dharma Tower and destroy all the Ghostrunners except for you!
Ghostrunner is a brilliant but intense 3D action game incorporating challenging mechanics that leave the player and opponents with only one hit point. Through instant restarts the player gets to know game level layouts and eliminates enemies with the use of extraordinary mobility and sensory boosts that allow the player to run on walls and slow down time.
