Mega Cat Studios and publisher 8 Bit Legit today announced that Lethal Wedding, its top-down shooter inspired by 80s action cinema and classic 16-bit games like Zombies Ate My Neighbors, is coming to Steam in addition to the previously announced Sega Genesis / Mega Drive version. The physical edition launches on Kickstarter on June 2nd, 2026.

If raining a bridal shower of lead down upon battalions of bearded ladies and the baddest brutes on the big top sets your heart aflutter, you can show your commitment by wishlisting Lethal Wedding on Steam today.

To celebrate the Steam announcement, Mega Cat Studios has released a new trailer showcasing the clown-filled carnage at the heart of Lethal Wedding. Featuring more carnage than you can cram into a clown car, the trailer puts the game’s outrageous arsenal front and center, from a bouquet of roses that hurls explosive flowers to a banana SMG to the bunny-shooting hare trigger, while highlighting the frantic two-player cooperative gameplay that lets players take on the clown cartel in chaotic couch co-op.

When a drug ring of criminal clowns crashes a bachelor party and kidnaps the groom-to-be, it’s up to the bride and her mother-in-law to mount a rescue. Players will battle their way through psychopathic circus performers, bazooka-toting bearded ladies, and murderous mobsters across over 30 levels of carnage, all while juggling mother-daughter issues, wedding planning, and…literal jugglers.

Team up with a friend for intense couch co-op gameplay, and beware the innovative Vow System, which keeps the stakes high by challenging players to complete randomized objectives before reaching the end of each stage. You know what they say, “till death do us part!”

Will you and your partner make it to the altar? Prepare to Bride Hard when Lethal Wedding crashes Kickstarter on June 2nd, and find out if you can survive the ultimate test of loyalty.
