Publisher and co-developer Dotemu, co-developers Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games have finally released the long-awaited new entry in the Streets of Rage series as Streets of Rage 4 is now available on Xbox One to purchase and via Gamepass.
The first mainline series entry in more than 25 years, Streets of Rage 4 mixes the series’ classic elements with a modern evolution of gameplay, art and design, giving fans an authentically faithful tribute which still offers a distinctive experience.
Streets of Rage 4 is set 10 years after the events of Street of Rage 3 and features returning faces Axel, Blaze, and Adam as they team up newcomers Cherry and Floyd. Players can either play solo or with friends online or offline as the game offers local 4-player couch co-op or 2 player online.
As an improvement over previous entries, SoR4 also adds new combo possibilities, risk-reward health recovery, and clever refinements giving players a chance to rack up killer combos. Additionally, along with the typical story mode, the game also adds a Battle Mode and Boss Rush mode.
