Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have released new gameplay details, in the form of a trailer, for next year’s Marvel’s Avengers. The video showcases the game’s gameplay, story, AIM narrative, mission variety, Super Hero customization; among other details.
The gameplay offers two types of missions: Hero Missions and Warzone Missions. Hero Missions are single-player only which are part of the overall Campaign and are designed to showcase each hero’s unique abilities.
While Warzone Missions can be played solo or with up to 4 friends and each mission is dynamically scaled based on the team size and player level.
Customisation will also play a role as players will be able to tailor their characters in a number of ways. Each hero will have their unique power sets, but play a bit differently based on the gear equipped and skills enabled. The game will also feature classic, fan-favorite, and all-new original outfits inspired by over 80-years of Marvel history.
Each hero has dynamic combo systems, Heroic moves, an intrinsic ability, and signature move sets to unlock and customize.
Marvel’s Avengers will be the true definition of games as service as Crystal Dynamics plans to release post-release content (Heros and regions) for the next few years and for free as long as you own the core game.
