There has been another twist in the development trail of Dead Island 2.

The game has been in development for over 5 years now and has passed between multiple developers. Techland were originally at the forefront of the project, followed by Yager Development and most recently it was thought Sumo Digital was at the helm of the project.

However, THQ Nordic have confirmed that the Dead Island franchise and the development of Dead Island 2 has now been passed on to Dambuster, who worked on Homefront: Revolution.

Fingers crossed this will be the final move for Dead Island 2 and we may see the game released after several years stuck in a development whirlwind.
