Clever Plays, the Montreal-based independent game studio, have announced that its popular asymmetrical co-op espionage adventure, Operation: Tango, is now available for the Xbox One and Xbox X/S Series.

Accolades for Operation: Tango include the Gamescom 2020 “Best Multiplayer Game”, as well as NYX 2021 Game Awards for “PC Game – Best Multiplayer”, “PC Game – Best Puzzle Game”, and “PC Game – Best Experience”.

In Operation: Tango, a player and their partner play as one of two characters, the field agent, Angel, and the hacker, Alistair, working together to save the world. With exotic locations, intricate puzzles, and the task of bringing a cybercriminal to their knees, pairs are presented with a near-future world where they must quickly learn how to communicate with each other or risk failing the mission at hand.

Playing from separate devices, each player enjoys a completely unique perspective on the action. Working together, pairs stay in constant verbal contact, linked within an augmented, fully-connected, and highly-stylized world. The result is an escape room-esque experience that tests teamwork while bonding players in the process.

Clever Plays wanted to ensure that players could partner up with ease, and have enabled cross-platform play across consoles and PCs. Further, the game offers a Friend Pass so players who own Operation: Tango may invite a friend to join them for free via the downloadable demo of the game on their platform of choice.
