THQ Nordic has released the remastered version of the cult classic SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom. Dubbed as the Rehydrated version, the game has been faithfully remade along with adding new gameplay content.
The remastered version of the 2003 cult classic features high-end visuals, modern resolutions, and polished gameplay but keeps the same irreverent humor from the TV series. It also includes restored content that was cut from the original game like the Robo Squidward boss fight among other new additions.
SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated adds online and couch multiplayer two-players can team up to battle the evil Robo-Squidward and all robots from the main game, wave after wave, across more than twenty islands. The multiplayer mode also features four exclusive characters: Mr. Krabs, Gary, Squidward and Robo-Plankton, each with their own sets of moves and attacks.
