Artax Games and ported by eastasiasoft will be bringing Iro Hero, a vertical shoot ’em up with beautiful pixel art graphics inspired by many old-school classics, to Xbox One for US$5.99/€5.99. The game will be available later this week on December 18th.
Iro Hero mixes old school, pixelated charm of 80s arcade shooters with modern mechanics and gameplay as it combines complex enemy AI, polarity mechanics, and light puzzle element.
Players will have to shift polarities to avoid color-coded hazards, balance an array of unlockable skills, and make use of reflective surfaces and color areas if they’re to survive through Iro Hero’s 9 action-packed stages intact.
The game features 10 different types of enemies with over a hundred different behaviors and 10 final bosses in the vein of classic arcade games. Unlock special skills throughout the game to help you land a final blow or escape from desperate situations.
