Capcom redefines the Fighting Game experience
Street Fighter 6 delivers a smash of new fighting game innovations including:
- All-new game modes: The Street Fighter series continues to improve itself and redefine the Fighting Game genre with three new fundamental modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub.
- In-game commentary: The Real Time Commentary Feature incorporates the voices of popular Fighting Game Community (FGC) commentators such as Jeremy ‘Vicious’ Lopez and Ryutaro ‘Aru’ Noda directly into the game! Players can choose from a number of personalities who provide live commentary on matches, with easy-to-understand gameplay explanations. This feature also supports subtitles in 13 languages for more accessibility.
- New control options: The classic controls are back, along with a new option: with the modern control type, players can get started right away with simplified inputs. Special Moves is easier to perform by means of one push button and a direct input.
- New fighting mechanics: Street Fighter 6 introduces the Drive System, a new bar that you use for five different techniques that enhance a player’s offensive and defensive abilities: Drive Impact, Drive Parry, Overdrive Art, Drive Rush, and Driver Reversal.
In addition to the new gameplay innovations, Street Fighter 6 also celebrates what fans love about the franchise by bringing together different modes from previous titles in Fighting Ground, such as Arcade Mode, Online Matches, Training Mode, local versus battles and more. From iconic World Warriors like Ryu and Chun-Li, to the latest addition from Street Fighter™ V Luke and our new breakdance pro Jamie; players can choose from a wide range of fighting styles and mastering skills. We can’t wait to reveal more information later this year about what other fighters will be available as playable characters.
Capcom also has a lot more to share about World Tour and Battle Hub closer to the release of Street Fighter 6. For now, we can share that World Tour is a single-player story mode that pushes the boundaries of what a fighting game is and allows players to make a mark on the fighting world with their own avatar. Battle Hub, only briefly shown so far, offers players new and unique ways to participate, interact and interact.
