Bound Games announced Skapp, a skateboarding game where players will need to perform tricks with their mobile phones. The developer plans to launching a Kickstarter campaign sometime this Fall to fully fund this new venture by covering the costs related to the production and development without compromising the art and quality of the title.

Skapp will be played using the gyroscope and the accelerometer of your smartphone by doing the same movements performed with a real skateboard as we watch it in real-time on-screen.

The developer also mentioned that the game will feature a story mode across various levels. There’s also will be a free skateboarding mode so you can just roam around and practice your skills by combining tricks, manuals, and grinds.

Víctor Sánchez, CEO at Bound Games, said:

Skapp’s team is mission-driven to create an innovative skateboarding experience, […] We want to breath new life into our beloved gaming genre”.
