Break new ground as EA Play reveals Volta for FiIFA 20, a new mode influenced by the small-sided part of the game, often played out on the streets, in the cages and futsal courts across the world. FIFA 20 launches worldwide 27th September.

Volta Football allows players to create their own character, showcase their individual technique, and experience the realistic shorthand of the game we love. Get ready to immerse yourself and participated in what is a stunning representation of street football.

Volta is a brand-new style of gameplay grounded in football realism, which immerses players in the flow of street style, offering new moves, featuring simplified flicks, and skill moves to pull off. With added new flair animations and the added ability to use the wall as a teammate.

“This year, we are embedding a whole new experience with VOLTA Football into the game that reflects how many footballers started out their careers in the streets. This is a unique aspect of the sport that gives our players an experience unlike anything they have ever seen before in EA SPORTS FIFA,” said Aaron McHardy, Executive Producer for EA SPORTS FIFA. “We’ve also focused on delivering key gameplay updates that raise the level of realism and quality across the game. And with small sided football ingrained in FIFA 20, players can take the learnings from the streets and apply them to the stadium or vice versa.”

Introducing, Football intelligence which offers a whole new approach to the gameplay in FIFA, this new take raises the bar in terms of quality found inside FIFA 20, levelling up the authenticity that players experience on the virtual playing field. Authentic game flow allows for more user-controlled play by giving AI more awareness around time, space and a player’s position on the pitch.

Decisive moments featured in FIFA are comprised of all-new Composed Finishing, which is an overhaul of the foundation of the shooting system, thus giving users more consistent and clinical finishing shoots.

Controlled Tackling arrives, and utilises the active touch system, allowing for a new variety of tackling animations.

Last but by no means least, Ball physics have undergone a bit of a revamp, with leads to a new level of realism, with varied shot trajectories, more realistic tackling interactions, and physics driven behaviour.
