The cat is out of the bag, Xbox Game Pass is coming to PC gamers.

Microsoft has always believed the player should be at the centre of their own gaming experience, harnessing the unique benefits that their chosen gaming device brings.

With PC gaming, that belief is vital to the players enjoyment.

“As the creators of Windows, we have a unique responsibility to ensure we’re investing in experiences that benefit players everywhere, while respecting the PC community’s preference for an open, highly customizable platform.

We’ve not always lived up to our aspiration of keeping gamers at the centre of everything we do when it comes to the experience they’ve had on Windows.”

And what are they doing to change things up – Game pass!

Two years ago, Xbox Game pass went live on Xbox one. A precious library filled with high-quality games, that offered value for players and game developers alike. Game Pass broke down the barriers and enabled gamers to discover games that they hadn’t given the time of day for, many of those games turned into player favourite titles. After extensive research, the people behind Game Pass have been doing their homework, to figure out if a similar pass would be just as lucrative for PC players and PC game developers. The Conclusion is Yes.

Xbox Game Pass, has been specially designed to suit the needs of PC fans and PC game developers, offering a new experience that will continue to evolve by working with the PC gaming community. Offering subscribers unlimited access to a library of over 100 high quality PC games on Windows 10. With some famous PC developers and publishes on-board, featuring the likes of Bethesda, Deep Silver, Devolver Digital, Paradox Interactive, Sega, and many more. And just like on Xbox One, The brains behind it’s sister version promise to be just as committed, as they have a clear intent to include new games from Xbox Game Studios in the library of games on the very same day they release globally, including games from newly acquired studios like Obsidian and inXile.

Xbox Game Pass PC are currently working with over 75 developers and publishers to bring content to this brand-new service. The goal to keep the library constantly stocked with great titles, offering versatility across the genres, with a promise of new games added to the catalogue each month.

Xbox Game Pass for PC members will also receive discounts in the Microsoft Store on Windows of up to 20% on games currently in the library and up to 10% off related game DLC and add-ons.

With E3 just around the corner, I’m sure there’s more to be unveiled about this exciting new opportunity for the PC Gamer.
