Plus, significant games like Genshin Impact are finally making their way to Xbox after being available on other platforms for a while, which is definitely a good sign. And let’s not forget Dragon Quest 3 HD – 2D Remake joining the mix on launch day as well. This could mean some good things are on the horizon from Square Enix. Albatroz is a backpacking adventure RPG that takes players through majestic landscapes in search of a lost sibling. You’ll join Isla on her quest to uncover the mystery behind her brother’s disappearance while he was searching for the mythical Albatroz Mountain, known to the ancient inhabitants of the region as “the walking mountain.” This journey explores themes of letting go and starting over.

As you traverse The Forbidden Lands, you’ll encounter diverse villages filled with intriguing residents, each with their own cultures and stories. Interacting with NPCs can provide valuable clues about your quest and lead to important items that aid your journey. Exploring these beautiful yet challenging environments requires careful resource management; you’ll need to gather essential supplies to ensure survival as the terrain becomes increasingly demanding.

The game features a deep narrative enriched by captivating characters and a stunning soundtrack that enhances the immersive experience. Players will also unlock and upgrade unique adventure skills through a Skill Tree, allowing for greater exploration and interaction with the world around them. As you help villagers with their problems and uncover new areas, you’ll accumulate Travel Points to level up your abilities, making your adventure through Albatroz both thrilling and rewarding.

 

Metal Slug Tactics – November 5, 2024

Metal Slug Tactics takes the beloved Metal Slug series and flips it on its head by introducing tactical RPG gameplay. You’ll step into the combat zone with a squad of iconic characters like Marco, Eri, and Fio, each bringing their unique skills to the battlefield. The game blends classic arcade action with tactical depth, allowing players to plan their moves carefully and unleash powerful special attacks.

As you progress through the campaign, you’ll face Donald Morden and his Rebel Army across 110 hand-crafted maps and 20 different mission types. Each map presents unique challenges that encourage strategic thinking. The “SYNC” mechanic lets you coordinate attacks for maximum damage, adding a layer of strategy to your encounters. Plus, you can unlock new weapons and perks to enhance your team’s firepower and skills.

I really like the look of this game!

 

Starcraft Remastered and Starcraft 2 – November 5, 2024

Starcraft Remastered and Starcraft 2 are set to return to PC on Game Pass, reigniting the passion for this legendary franchise. These iconic titles will reintroduce classic gameplay, beloved characters, and intense battles that have captivated gamers for decades. With enhanced graphics and improved performance, both remastered versions provide a polished experience while retaining the core mechanics that made them fan favorites. This re-release offers a fantastic opportunity for both veterans and newcomers to dive into the Starcraft universe, immersing themselves in the epic storylines and strategic gameplay that define the series.

 

 

Planet Coaster 2 – November 7, 2024

Planet Coaster 2 is the sequel to the world’s best coaster park simulator! This game lets you unleash your creativity as you build and manage your dream theme parks. With enhanced building and pathing tools, you can create stunning parks complete with thrilling rides, beautiful landscapes, and exciting new water rides.

You’ll have the freedom to customize your parks like never before, adding scalable scenery and unique features to each ride. The game introduces mechanics like the event sequencer tool, which helps you craft memorable experiences for your guests. There’s also speculation about Planet Coaster 2 potentially dropping onto Game Pass, especially after the Game Pass UK account replied to a tweet about the game.

 

Magical Bakery – November 7, 2024

Magical Bakery is a single-player cooking and management game set in an enchanted bakery that sells a variety of sweets and pastries, often with a hint of magic! You’ll take on the role of a young trainee baker at the Academy of Magical Bakers, where you’ll develop your skills in creating delightful treats that can solve problems and warm the hearts of your customers.

As you mix, knead, bake, and decorate, you’ll unlock new ingredients and upgrade your bakery with the help of special NPCs—the merchant and the blacksmith. Your goal is to prove your mastery by passing weekly exams, and showcasing your magical baking skills. While I appreciate the creativity behind it, Magical Bakery isn’t really a game for me.

 

 

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival – November 7, 2024

Join Don-chan and Kumo-kyun in Omiko City as you aim to become a Taiko Master! This vibrant rhythm game features Taiko Mode and Great Drum Toy War, allowing you to drum along to 76 songs from anime, game music, and pop. Pre-order to unlock the Namco Game Music Pack, which includes tracks like SYMPHONIC VALKYRIE and EAT’EM UP!.

With three party games for 2-4 players, you can enjoy fun challenges and compete online. The Taiko Music Pass offers access to over 700 additional songs, adding even more variety to your experience. Having played the series on my phone, I could be tempted to try this out on console!

 

 

Slitterhead – November 8, 2024

Slitterhead is a horror game from the creators of Silent Hill, promising a chilling experience that dives deep into psychological terror. Set in a beautifully eerie world, players will confront unsettling creatures and navigate a narrative filled with mystery and suspense.

As you explore the game’s atmospheric environments, you’ll uncover dark secrets and face formidable challenges that test your survival skills. The visuals and sound design are crafted to immerse players in a truly haunting experience. I really like the look of this game, and it has me intrigued to see how it unfolds!

 

Goat Simulator Remastered – November 8, 2024

Goat Simulator Remastered brings back the chaotic fun of the original game, enhancing it with upgraded graphics and exciting new features. Players step into the hooves of a goat, ready to unleash havoc in an open world filled with absurdity. From headbutting pedestrians to leaping off rooftops, the game is packed with hilarious moments that keep the gameplay fresh and entertaining.

This remaster not only polishes the visuals but also introduces new content that promises to amplify the outrageous antics. Available on Game Pass, Goat Simulator is sure to deliver endless laughs and unpredictable fun, making it an easy choice for everyone!

 

 

Farming Simulator 25 – November 12, 2024

Farming Simulator 25 offers players the chance to immerse themselves in the world of agriculture. You’ll manage your own farm, from planting crops to raising livestock, all while navigating the challenges of rural life. The game features an expansive open world, realistic farming mechanics, and a wide range of vehicles and equipment to enhance your farming experience.

Did you know there’s a Farming Simulator esports scene? This adds an exciting competitive aspect to the game, showcasing the skills of top players in virtual farming competitions! Even though farming games aren’t my usual choice, I can see the appeal for those who enjoy strategy and management in a laid-back setting.

 

 

Tetris Forever – November 12, 2024

Tetris Forever is here to celebrate 40 years of the iconic puzzle game! This release includes more than 15 playable classic Tetris games, plus an all-new experience called Tetris Time Warp. You can dive into fan favorites like Tetris Battle Gaiden and Super Bombliss, and even check out the very first version of Tetris from 1984.

Along with the gameplay, Tetris Forever features documentary content that explores the friendship between Tetris creator Alexey Pajitnov and The Tetris Company founder Henk Rogers, sharing the amazing story behind this beloved game.

I’m curious to see how Tetris Time Warp works, but my take on this will really depend on the price. Tetris is always fun, but I want to make sure it’s worth the investment!

 

 

Heretic’s Fork – November 14, 2024

Heretic’s Fork is a game I absolutely love, having played it on PC! In this unique dark fantasy experience, you step into the role of Hell’s Manager, where you’ll tackle the overpopulation issues in a creatively twisted environment. You’ll be managing the current population of sinners while implementing innovative strategies to streamline operations using the state-of-the-art HERETIC’S FORK system.

Your tasks include choosing a demon to manage site operations, punishing sinners with various methods, and protecting the rift between Hell and Earth from escape attempts. The deck-building system lets you plan strategies and build strength to achieve great results. I’m really excited about this title, especially since I’ve already enjoyed its amazing soundtrack. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake – November 14, 2024

As you explore expansive landscapes and face various foes, the updated mechanics enhance the classic experience. I’m curious to see if this release signifies a new relationship with Square Enix, as they continue to embrace remakes and expansions of their beloved franchises. This could pave the way for more titles to come, which is exciting for fans of the series!

You can compete in the all-new Challenge League mode, tackle exciting activities like Rally Races and Precision Landings, or embark on a global adventure capturing stunning vistas and landmarks as a world photographer.

 

 

Genshin Impact – November 20, 2024

Genshin Impact finally makes its way to Xbox, bringing its vast open world and captivating story to a new audience. Players can explore the beautiful realm of Teyvat, filled with unique characters, elemental abilities, and dynamic combat. The game’s stunning visuals and immersive world design have garnered a massive following, making it one of the most talked-about titles in recent years.

Players who subscribe to Game Pass will receive a special bundle, and Genshin Impact will also be playable on xCloud, allowing for on-the-go adventures. Plus, you won’t need a Game Pass subscription to enjoy multiplayer, making it easy to team up with friends. While I haven’t played Genshin Impact extensively, I’m excited to see how it performs on Xbox

 

 

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 – November 20, 2024

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 returns players to the haunting world of the Zone, where survival horror meets open-world exploration. Set in a post-apocalyptic environment filled with mutated creatures and environmental hazards, players must navigate the dangers while uncovering the game’s deep narrative and rich lore.

The game has done well in previews, showcasing stunning visuals and enhanced mechanics that promise a gripping experience. Plus, it will be available on Game Pass, making it accessible for players looking to dive into this chilling adventure. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this installment builds on the original’s legacy and what new challenges await players in the Zone!

 

 

Nine Sols – November 26, 2024

Nine Sols is a lore-rich, hand-drawn 2D action-platformer that features combat inspired by Sekiro’s deflection mechanics. Set in a fantastical Asian world, you embark on a journey through a land once home to an ancient alien race, following a vengeful hero named Yi on a quest to defeat the 9 Sols—formidable rulers of this forsaken realm. As Yi awakens these rulers in New Kunlun, the last sanctuary of the Solarians, he must navigate the deserted city and uncover the secrets that lie within.

Since it’s available on Game Pass, I’m excited to dive into this unique world and experience the blend of cyberpunk and Eastern mythology firsthand!
