Moto Rush GT is an arcade first-person motorcycle driving game where you need to ride as fast as possible while dodging the same way and incoming traffic without crashing. Driving into oncoming traffic, pulling tricks, and doing near-misses reward players with points that will return in the in-game currency that players can use to upgrade their ride or purchase a new one. As you play any mode, you’re rewarded with XP and in-game currency that unlocks new rides.

The game does have a handful of gameplay modes. You can tackle a Career mode that has 100 levels, Just Drive where you can just jump into the street and ride as long as you can. You can also jump into Arcade mode where you can select a track and race until you crash. Finally, there’s Time Trial which is pretty self-explanatory. The garage lets you upgrade your ride, purchase new ones, and change the color of your bike and gloves. New motorcycles are required to be unlocked before purchasing them.

Throughout Career mode, it’s not just about driving to the finish line. While most events will require players to reach the finish line by driving a set amount of KM within a set amount of time, there are other types of events such as do X Near Miss within a set amount of time, driving a set amount of time in incoming traffic, spend a set amount of time doing tricks; just to name a few. There are also ambulance-like vehicles that will give you a temporary boost when riding behind briefly.

While the game does look great, it has a very simplistic visual aesthetic. Don’t expect Forza Horizon level of details in the environments or the traffic; as with the gameplay, the simpler, the better. The desert-themed level environment, for some reason, gave me vibes of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for some reason. There are 4 settings: City, Forest, Desert, and Rush Hour. The soundtrack sounds a bit all over the place; while the tunes all sound like stock music, some tracks sound like they were tunes from the Mario Kart series that ended up on the cutting floor.

While this is a simplistic and enjoyable experience, it does have a few flaws. The gameplay variety is a bit barebone and can overstay its welcome pretty quickly. Also, while you can do “tricks”, the only two tricks you can do are wheelies and jumps from ramps scarcely peppered through the various roads. Additionally, at specific events, you won’t be able to proceed unless you upgrade or buy a new ride. This makes it feel forced instead of organic and doesn’t make it fun to be forced to upgrade. There’s a decent amount of objectives variety but feels light given the 100 tracks.

Moto Rush GT is one of the most addictive games I’ve had the chance to review. It’s easy to pick up and play and a no-nonsense type of game where you don’t need to think too much; drive and avoid crashing. It can either be played in long or short bursts, although the latter is preferred because the limited gameplay objectives might put off some players. I highly recommend this addictive little gem; it’s always one more ride.
