Publisher TRAILMARK Games and rights holder Coolabi Group announced today Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest, a new turn-based role-playing game based on the bestselling book franchise. Arriving on Xbox Series X|S, the title is scheduled to launch in Fall 2026.
Clans of the Forest allows players to create an original character using a deep character creator featuring customisable fur patterns, eye colors, markings, and physical traits. Before beginning their journey, players choose allegiance to one of four established factions from the book series: ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, or WindClan.
Each Clan selection unlocks a distinct, full-length narrative campaign tailored to that faction’s specific culture, traditions, and rivalries. According to the publishers, players will navigate original storylines alongside encounters with iconic characters from the novel series, working their way up the Clan hierarchy while dealing with spiritual omens and prophecies from StarClan.

Turn-Based Tactical Combat: Battles against rival warriors, wild predators, and boss encounters rely on timing, stance choices, and specialized Clan abilities. Players can also tap into powerful ancestral attacks granted by StarClan to exploit enemy weaknesses.

Exploration and Navigation: Players will track scents, scale obstacles, and explore landmarks drawn straight from the lore, including the Moonpool, the Island, and surrounding wilderness regions.

Den Personalisation and Asynchronous Multiplayer: Players can decorate their personal dens with craftable bedding, scratching posts, and unlockable items. An asynchronous online feature allows players to visit and inspect the dens and combat loadouts of friends.

Reputation and Choice Systems: Branching dialogue and narrative choices shape the player’s relationships within their Clan, altering their reputation and unlocking dynamic quests across multiple playthroughs.
The upcoming title marks the second licensed project for TRAILMARK Games following the publisher’s debut in June 2026.
