Brain Seal Ltd and PlayWay S.A. have released Dominus Gladiatus, the gladiator management simulator from the studio behind Story of a Gladiator and the Dark Quest series. The game is available today on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
History remembers the gladiators. Dominus Gladiatus is about the people who made them. Players take on the role of a Dominus, the owner of a gladiator school, choosing one of six Domini and competing against the other five across a full season of tournaments. Every rival runs a school of their own and all of them want the same title.
The road to the championship runs through the Ludus. Scout the market for overlooked talent, build up your facilities and turn untested recruits into crowd favorites. A fighter’s form depends on how well they are looked after: rest, morale and recovery matter as much as training and a school that cuts corners will feel it on the sand.
Fights play out as tactical auto-battles, in one-on-one duels or team clashes, decided by the skills, loadouts and positions chosen beforehand. Study your opponents, plan your lineup and win over the crowd, because in Rome the spectators have a say in how the day ends.
