Psyonix have confirmed that full cross-platform play for Rocket League has finally launched.
This means that as long you have the ‘Cross Platform Play’ option enabled when searching for a match, then you will automatically be mixed in with gamer’s on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The ability to create a cross platform party, which would allow you to party up with friends even if they are on a different platform from you, is also coming to the game in a future update with no other details of the timescale known at the moment.
I have personally been enjoying a fair bit of Rocket League on Nintendo Switch and I am not only looking forward to playing with gamers on other platforms, but also the ability to party up with friends on other platforms, when it arrives will be an excellent addition to the game.
