SEGA of America has announced the return of the iconic SHINOBI series with SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance, an exciting new 2D action platformer set in a uniquely illustrated world and developed in collaboration with Lizardcube, the studio behind the acclaimed Streets of Rage 4. SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance was first unveiled at The Game Awards 2023 alongside other SEGA franchises and will be released on August 29, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. It is available for pre-order now on select platforms.

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance follows the series’ longtime protagonist and master of ninja arts, Joe Musashi, who comes home from a previous adventure to find his village burned down and his clan turned to stone. Driven by revenge, Joe embarks on an epic adventure, battling hordes of enemies and overpowering bosses in stunning, hand-drawn worlds. SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance features numerous paths to discover or unlock, and is packed with smooth, compelling gameplay. Players will have to constantly attack and react and simply won’t get enough.
