The Jackbox Party Pack 7 is a collection of party minigames that can be played with up to 8 players. One of the benefit of this is that your friends don’t need their own console or let alone their own controllers! Friends can join in via their mobile phones, tablets or even computers. When starting up a game, you’ll be able to provide a link with a code to your friends so they can join up.

First up is the Quiplash 3 game which requires a minimum of three players and up to eight. It’s a head-to-head battle where players need to give funny answers while the other players vote for their favorite. Quiplash 3 also allows players to create their own take on this mini-games with custom prompts made by you or others. Then there’s The Devils and the Details, which requires 3-8 players, starring a family of devils who try to survive in their new environment: Suburbia.

Up next is Champ’d up, 3-8 players, where you’re tasked in creating ridiculous characters that will go head-to-head with the other players’ creations and fight over odd titles. Then there’s Talking Points (3-8 players) where players need to keep talking, whether it makes sense or not, about the picture on screen. You can also play as The Assistant who approves the pictures. Finally, players can attempt Blather Round (2-6 players) which basically requires players to describe a secret prompt with limited words.

The game looks great; almost like a cartoon tv show; colorful and bright. Not much else to add to be honest. As far as the soundtrack goes, it’s fine and definitely sounds like a TV show score. Some of the tunes do have a bit of circus appeal to it. Each game as its own theme song as well; all of which sound vastly different from one another.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with this game. Despite the decent variety of mini-games, as you’d expect with this type of collection, you’ll get through the mini-games pretty quickly. While usually parties implies multiple people, if you’re only two people for a short period of time, there’s only game that can be played as the others require at least three people. So this might not the ideal game to play with a better half given the number of players requirement.

The Jackbox Party Pack 7 is the perfect mini-games collection when throwing small parties with friends. There’s a decent variety of games and given that this can be played whether from a mobile device, tablet or even a PC/laptop, even your non-gaming friends can jump in and have a blast for a few hours. But as you’d expect, this will only get you a few hours of fun, but thankfully this is one of many The Jackbox Party Pack collection!
