Super Evil Megacorp has unleashed the biggest content drop yet for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate, bringing a huge free update, a new playable character, fresh cosmetics and more to the roguelike brawler.

The latest update adds a substantial amount of new content for both newcomers and existing players, while also bringing the game’s main storyline arc to an explosive conclusion.

The headline addition is The King’s Gambit, which finally introduces the infamous Rat King as the latest threat facing the Turtles and their allies. Designed to provide one of the game’s toughest challenges yet, the new run will put players’ combat skills and reflexes to the test as they face off against the dangerous new enemy.

The update also introduces a new Home Lair Ally in the form of Pepperoni, giving players another adorable companion to befriend between runs.

The update also marks the arrival of Slash as a fully playable character through paid DLC.

The short-tempered turtle brings his trademark brute strength to the battlefield, using his enormous claws and physical power to tear through enemies.

Slash also comes equipped with his signature Enraged mode, temporarily increasing his movement speed while allowing him to deal significantly more damage.

New Samurai Armor cosmetics

Players looking to give the Turtles a fresh look can also pick up the Samurai Armor Pack.

The new cosmetic sets take inspiration from traditional warrior armour, with individually tailored designs for each of the four heroes.

Whether you’re battling the Foot Clan or taking on the game’s latest challenges, the new outfits offer a suitably intimidating way to hit the streets.

For players who haven’t yet jumped into TMNT: Splintered Fate, Super Evil Megacorp is also introducing the Platinum Bundle.

The package brings together all of the game’s paid content released so far, alongside every free update, making it a comprehensive way to experience everything Splintered Fate has to offer.

And that’s not all. Fans can also pick up limited-run TMNT: Splintered Fate merchandise, including T-shirts, prints and Pepperoni plushies.

Meanwhile, pre-orders are now open for the Switch 2 Legendary Edition, which is scheduled to launch on October 27.

With The King’s Gambit bringing the main story arc to its conclusion, the latest update looks set to give Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate players plenty of reasons to return to the fight.
