The Coalition took to Microsoft E3 2018 Showcase stage to announce that Gears 5 will arrive on Xbox One and PC in 2019.
Not much details were shared on what the plot for Gears 5 will be, but judging by the reveal trailer, it will mainly focus on Kait Diaz who was introduced to the series in Gear of War 4. Microsoft did however provide the following statement on the game:
“In ‘Gears 5’ as Kait, journey across the biggest, most beautiful ‘Gears’ world ever created. Play solo or with a friend in local split-screen co-op, or online co-op and experience every mode in 4K Ultra HD resolution with stunning HDR at a smooth 60 frames per second. Coming in 2019.”
Microsoft also confirmed that when Gears 5 launches, it will be available on day one to Xbox Game Pass members.
