Microsoft have confirmed at Gamescom 2018 that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will arrive on Xbox Game Pass on 1st September.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is a great way for current fans of the series and new fans alike, to experience the ultimate Halo Saga which includes Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and Halo 4.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s launch on Xbox Game Pass will also coincide with the launch of a new patch for the game which will bring some significant changes. The patch will include a 4K update for Xbox One X gamers, improved matchmaking, offline LAN, customizable installation options, and faster load times.

Multiplayer across Halo CE Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3 and Halo 4 will all be updated to run at 60fps.

Personally I have been holding off finishing both Halo 3 ODST and Halo 4 on the Master Chief Collection until the 4K patch arrived, so roll on September 1st!
